    Lighthouse Presents

In this modern world it's easy for children to become morally and ethically confused.

We live in a time of liberal standards, TV, radio, even top ranking government officials have played part in making this a very conflicted society.  Strong Christian morals that this country was built on are often overshadowed by the glitz and glam or projected by our nation's superstars, heroes and role models falling short of those same traditional standards.

Some children are already confused with the changing family roles , and high fashion child stars scantily dressed to the apparent approval of all of America. All of this can add to the confusion and send the wrong message. In this day and age the wrong message can be dangerous, even self destructive to naive children that are trusting in the common good of society around them.

We believe that positive moral and ethical standards have to be exhibited and lived out around the children and in clear sight of them. Sometimes it helps to actively seek out appropriate role models for them to see. That is the effort of J. C.'s Lighthouse Presents. We will attain regular discussion forums and presentations from strong personalities of our community at large that compromise nothing to become the best they can be in their chosen area of endeavor. We encourage speakers to reflect not only on their decisions to be ethically sound in their daily work and personal lives but to, if possible, acknowledge a time in life when God himself interacted to save them. Or maybe a time they can remember having endured the same or similar dark times as those suffered by our students, most of which are from abuse/neglect backgrounds, thereby conveying the added message that things do get better for us all eventually. The children are encouraged, taught and their horizons are expanded as they become more aware of jobs and positions all around them as they meet the truly good people that do them.
