Missions
Mini Missions are events
arranged for the greater good of others. Our taking part can be
all that is needed or just a piece amongst others to change the
direction of events for those we serve to receive God's more abundant
love and support.
The mission at hand may
be as small as working together to replace the broken freezer at the
local woman's shelter, or as large as attempting to build Christian
communities where life skills, job skills and resource production are
learning opportunities to lift the at-risk to previously unthinkable new
heights.
The mission service can
be from our own 7 free programs or something loving and of your own
design.
The event can be as
small as 1 hour at the mall or as large as 3 months in the woods in a
dry camp environment.
Recruit Servant /
Missionaries are invited by Senior missionaries from the community at
large to join. The invitation is plain accept to honestly answer
questions about the mission at hand.
We have noted that America today has needs of its own. Yes, its
a good idea to help others but we should help our neighbors first.
We have learned that some of the neediest people in every
community in America are the children of abuse/neglect.
Close to 3 million children across this fine nation are served
by the foster program and another estimated 1.5 million children
are runaway/street children and they need your help. Hopefully
you, for whatever reason, have a desire to help out the needy
in you own community, city, state, and country. Please help
us help them. Adopt a small area to serve and choose
one of the currently available projects and brace for impact.
You can
cause change and join in our loving acts of kindness.
We propose two ultra simple projects for your consideration.
Project
One is simple, inexpensive and effective in raising awareness,
initiating open discussion of important subject matter, while helping
serve your need for area foster homes and giving actual foster
children a voice about the needs and matters impacting them.
It is simple enough for even 5 year old participants and consumes
only the time you care to invest. Simply handout these documents
at public events, in neighborhoods, shopping centers or anywhere
there are people.
Project
Two requires more time (1 to 4 weeks part time), older
participants (age 15 and up) and a leader with networking skills.
The outcome is immense and more visible and can be fun for dreamers.
It's bases on the idea that if you could give anything in the
world to your area foster kids and their foster families to show
them you love them, what would it be? Ok, so do it.
Give them all your heart desires while helping area businesses
grow with your help through coupon and discount offers that generate
business. In the meantime you'll be telling your community
to consider fostering which will hopefully increase the number
of homes that serve this vital need.
Both programs require more heart than money and cause great things
to happen for the benefit of children.
