Light Speed

The light speed project is designed to address the people for whom most family building material is designed to minister to, those of us in the fray of life, caught in circumstance, or life's dangerous crossroads.

To be specific, the actual directives here are those under investigation of abuse or neglect, and those currently living in a less than desirable home life situation.

The people we seek to minister to in this project specifically are the beloved brothers and sisters that maybe married a little too young, or had children before they were ready or for whatever reason are unable to rise to the standard of family living that children need to survive or grow appropriately. I heard someone say, "Oh, that sounds like social work, and that is not my job."

Let me encourage you to read you Bible again.  And if you think 3,000,000 children in foster care is bad, wait until you see what's happening with the Clinton disassembly of the welfare nation. We are in the roll-over period where many will no longer receive food and rent from Uncle Sam. Some of which haven't seen a normal working environment for several generations. Talk about turning up the heat! Most families find they are more stressed and less functional under circumstances of financial instability.

Anyway, some of us need to step up and take the initiative to help. It's that simple. Some of these families will require good family building resources, others will require character building material, and almost everyone will require the love and word of God.  Unfortunately, many will not be able or even willing, (at first) to pay for such resources, but we all know they need us at the speed of light. So it is with this in heart that we at J.C.'s Lighthouse endeavor to network those extensive resources into the American foster/adopt program, at no charge to the affected. In this, we may save children, even entire families from worldly actions that sometimes result from such harsh environments.

We would offer information to everyone we encounter as to the availability of our networked resources, and the usual routes to acquire them. This would make those valuable Christian resources known throughout all of our other ministries. Some of those ministries recruit new families in areas of foster and adopt. This would further the strength of existing families that open their home to the immense need for foster homes. We believe the Word of God, His instructions, and other works that reflect that, might help out quite a bit (or so we pray). We began our great acquisition of resource with the modern day saint, Dr. Dobson and his Focus on the Family approach. All praise and glory to God, they have signaled support of the program! That means we are well on our way to 1 million free resources ultimately being offered in this one program.

Now we are beginning requisition of other resources that will compliment this effort as well as networking these resources into the areas that need them. At any rate soon you can be sure we will be asking...
"What are you doing to help your community's children?"
