Map Light

Foster/Adopt homes can apply in writing, other child care workers can apply too. Then we will send out a Map Card. We will network, and then send out personalized gifts to your home.

We hope to be invited by several homes this year, invited to a party that is! An interesting party to build a swing set or some other yard or play house equipment free of charge!

We intend to supply the swings, bikes, yard equipment and labor. Yes, you read that correctly. Some area big boys have come alongside and offered a helping hand so we will pick up the expenses, you just make time to play. We plan to network area foster homes in hopes of building a brotherhood. Interested families that would like to join other like minded people at occasional gatherings to share in life's experiences with other foster parents. Some local churches and several area Christians with a heart to make a difference offer their weekend to thanking an area foster home for their years of devotion.

They do this by helping us build free outdoor equipment or donated bikes or even play a game or two with these loving homes and the children they serve. We start slow, sending simple gifts to battle TV with like board games and things that push for a positive interaction between the children. If they accept, we send along a Bible or other Christian resources and await a reply to see if they are open to Lighthouse interaction.

Then we get into the good stuff, resources as valuable as those held by the big science guys over at NASA, tapes, pictures, and countless other books and resources. Even Christ centered "Family Life" and Focus on the Family resources are networked towards a stronger home foundation and a stronger knowledge of the world, of God, and of the opportunities the two provide for those who set goals towards a positive life.

Lots of games and learning resources are the primary gifts available and the devoted foster families and others responsible for the care of those children and the children themselves are the focus recipients. We love and support those people and want to say thank you for raising our future leaders for us.  May God bless you daily.
